Turquoise cloth cover with nine art nouveau tulips and gilt title lettering. Corners are slightly bumped. Gilt lettering on spine has remained bright. Slight discoloation and edge wear along spine from sun damage and shelf wear. Front end page is cracked yet remains connected to binding. Previous owner's name "ENW" and "E.N. Warden Paris Nov (crossed out) Oct. 25 '09-" on front end page. Light foxing on first five pages. Red and black colored type on title page. Title page and opposite page have foxing from an old newpaper clipping titled "A French Critic" Does not appear to be relevant to book, however we've decided to keep it. Brentano's Paris booksellers plate on back end papers. End papers show signs of light foxing. Pages are clean and bright. A nice copy!
