Publisher Description
THE STREET is a highly unusual and very readable memoir by a writer who is widely recognized as the modern master of minimalism and neo-noir poetry. Back in print for the first time in several years, THE STREET contains both MEMORY LANE and RMA, memoirs which were originally published as separate volumes. They are now presented for the first time ever...complete... and fully restored...in one volume, now titled simply: THE STREET.

To best describe this book, a quote from the text reads: "Memories are like leaves on a tree... and they fall at different times, at different speeds, in different ways... eventually, no matter how they fall, they end up covering the ground."

About the Author
As a working writer for more than 50 years, John Yamrus has published more than 40 books. The ultra-prolific Yamrus has also had nearly 3,500 poems published in books, magazines and anthologies around the world. While he is known mostly for his often snarky humor and simple subjects, Yamrus is widely recognized as a master of neo-noir and minimalism. His work has been taught in dozens of college classrooms and been included in several textbooks. Several of his books have now appeared in Europe in translation.
